The Chinese Football League (CFL) announced disciplinary actions against the Tianjin venue of the Chinese Super League (CSL) following serious fan misconduct during a recent match, issuing an official reprimand and a one-match spectator ban for supporters' section, according to the information released on its official WeChat account.
The league issued an official reprimand to the Tianjin Jinmen Tiger Football Club's home venue and imposed a one-match spectator ban on specific sections of the south stand — sections D110 and the odd-numbered rows of D111 — typically occupied by the fan club's "Tiger Wings Supporters' Group."
The decision follows events during the Round 17 CSL match (Match No. 131) between Tianjin Jinmen Tiger and Chengdu Rongcheng, held at Tianjin TEDA Football Stadium on July 18.
According to the CFL, match supervisor reports, video evidence, and a disciplinary hearing confirmed that a member of the 'Tiger Wings Supporters' Group' fan club, surnamed Jiang, led fans in shouting abusive language at a Chengdu player during the pre-match warm-up and throughout the game, causing what the league described as a "severe negative social impact."
The
Tianjin Football Association also issued a statement on Sunday, announcing that Jiang has been placed under seven-day administrative detention by the Tianjin Public Security Bureau. He has also been banned from attending future matches.
In the early hours of Sunday, the CFL released a separate statement condemning all forms of verbal abuse by fans directed at players and their families, calling such behavior a stain on football culture and a serious disruption to league order.
